St. Michael's on US 90, Biloxi, Mississippi.

     Known as the Fisherman's Church built by shrimp pickers and oyster shuckers, Saint Michael's Catholic Church is located one block from the beach on the corner of First St and US 90 in Biloxi, Mississippi. The 38 foot wall of seawater pushed inland by Hurricane Katrina on August 29th, 2005 completely gutted the Sanctuary shattering stained glass windows depicting figures of fisherman representing the 12 apostles and tore the stature of Saint Michael from the seashell-shaped roof.
